May 04, 2010 - Two Students and Two Teachers of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy (SASA-INDIA) have been selected by Govt. of Turkey to participate in International Science Fair being organized at MEHMET AKIF ERSOY UNIVERISTY in Burdur city in second week of May 2010. The students named as Miss. Ravinder Kaur (Grade 12, Science) and Mr. Jatinderpal Singh (Grade 11, Science) will speak and display their models on saving the Environment among the selected students from 127 countries for three days. “The team of SASA-INDIA got selected for this International Event when they joined the conference on Environment under ENO and UNEP (United Nations Environment Program) in Finland, last year”, Sukhjinder Singh, Director of the school, told. He further elaborated that in Burdur they have been arrange to visit the Insuyu Cavern which is the second largest cave in the world with millions of stalactites and stalagmites. Along with it they will they also visit the historical remains of Sagalassos, Hacilar, Sybria, Cremna, Kumcay and Incirhan remarkable with statues dating back to Ancient Rome.
They have also been arranged to visit the oldest historical city Istanbul in Turkey where they would visit the Topkopi Palace, Rooftop bar, Meyhanes, Chora Church, Golden Horn, Grand Bazaar and Contemporary Art Galleries.
While sharing a cup of tea with them Mr. Sukhjinder Singh added, “Without being a part of the world one cannot understand the great sky in-with-in.”
