May 15, 2018 Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, the residential school in Ropar elects its student Heads for session 2018-19. Twenty Senior Girls and ten Boys contested for the crown. Addition to judgment of their Academic performance, the Senior Teachers also presented their judgments in regard to their Leadership Qualities, Participation in Co-Curricular and Sports Activities, Self Discipline & Co-operation, question round and speech. In last round class representatives of class VI - XII voted to choose their heads. There was stiff competition among the contestants. Miss Riya Chadha could turn up with the crown of Head girl and Mr. Manjeet Singh as the Head Boy. Miss Shubreet Kaur and Sankalp Singh turned up to be Deputy Head Girl and Deputy Head Boy respectively.

Similarly, Miss Jasleen Kaur could turn up with the crown of Hostel Head Girl and Mr. Satnam Singh as the Hostel Head Boy. Miss Anureet Kaur, Hostel Deputy Head Girl and Mr. Namandeep Singh turned up to be Hostel Deputy Head Boy respectively.

The students and the teachers applauded them being the best to be elected and getting the seats in the Management of the Academy. Mr. Sukhjinder Singh, Director of the Academy received them in his office with the words, "It is easy to reach at top but very difficult to stay at the top. The only way to stay at the top is understanding the responsibilities and working hard to meet the challenges. Hard-work and self-discipline are both the best friends of the people on the top".

Mr. Rajan Chopra, Principal, Madam Sudesh Sujati, Vice-Principal, Madam Vandana Vij, Co-ordniator and Madam Kamlesh Dawett, Headmistress were also present during this occasion.
