Admission Information

1. Admission is open for Nursery to Grade Eleven (excluding Board Classes).
2. Children may be registered for admission anytime between early December and early March on payment of Rs. 900/- (non-refundable Entrance Test Fee cum Registration Fee).
   
   The Registration-cum-Admission Application Form is attached with the Prospectus, Book of Rules & Regulations, and Medical Card. These are available from the Academy office on cash payment of Rs. 910/- or by post on payment of Rs. 960/- (Bank Draft in favour of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, payable at Roopnagar).
3. Parents must produce their ward for the Written Test / Personal Interview on the date and time fixed by the Admission Cell.
4. Admission is subject to clearing / qualifying the Admission Test / Interview.
5. Parents of the selected child must report to the Academy Office on the specified date and time to deliver the child at the Academy Campus along with the required items and documents.

1. Original School Leaving Certificate.
2. Date of Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Council / Hospital / Appropriate Authority accepted by the Government of India (two attested photocopies).
3. Copy of the Detailed Marks Card of the last examination passed.
4. Copy of valid Passport and Resident Permit (for Foreign and NRI students).
5. Three latest passport-size coloured photographs of the student, two passport-size photographs of the parents, and three separate passport-size photographs of the authorised guardians / visitors.
6. Written special information regarding any disabilities of the child (if any) and health details including chronic diseases, allergies, etc.
7. A valid character certificate from the school last attended (for students of Class VII onwards).
8. Medical Report Card (with complete vaccination details for T.T., M.M.R., Chicken-pox, etc.) supplied with the prospectus, duly filled by a family doctor of not less than M.B.B.S. rank.

1. Parents of a child selected for admission must deposit the full fee and funds on the same date (extension of up to two working days may be granted). Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the selection. Part payment is not permitted. However, parents of boarding students with genuine reasons may apply to the Management to deposit the fee and funds in not more than two instalments.
2. If payment in two instalments is permitted, the first instalment of 60% must be deposited on the day of admission. The remaining 40% must be deposited on or before 31st August of the same academic session. No reminder is sent by the Academy. Late deposit attracts a fine of Rs. 100/- per day (maximum seven days), after which the student’s name may be struck off the rolls. Re-admission will require payment of full fee and funds of the running session.
   No application for extension of the second-instalment deadline will be entertained.
3. If a student discontinues after due admission and deposit of all fees and funds, there is no provision for refund or adjustment of the deposited amount with any other student.
4. Fee may be deposited by Cash or Demand Draft (in favour of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, payable at Roopnagar). Only local cheques or cheques payable / cleared at Roopnagar are accepted.
   Dishonour of any cheque will invite legal action against the issuer together with recovery of bank charges and a fine of Rs. 2,000/-.
5. If a student who has deposited 60% of the fee and funds discontinues midway, no request for a School Leaving Certificate will be entertained until the balance fee and funds (including the second instalment) have been deposited.
6. There will be an approximate 8% increase in the overall fee structure every year.
7. If parents deposit less than the amount due on the prescribed date, a fine of Rs. 100/- per day will be charged until the final payment is made.

Admission to Class +1 is subject to clearing the entrance test and is granted on a provisional basis. After qualifying the test and interview, the student must deposit 60% of the prevailing fee and funds of the session (applicable to both day-scholars and boarders). Parents may optionally deposit the full amount at once.

If the student fails the Class 10 Board examination, the provisional admission to +1 is discontinued and the deposited fee and funds are refunded after deduction of genuine expenditure incurred on studies, lodging and boarding.

If the student passes the Class 10 Board examination but wishes to discontinue at the Academy, no request for refund of fee and funds will be entertained.

Parents are at liberty to make an advance admission of their ward in order to avoid non-availability of a seat.
