Students Shined at SASA's Sports and Co-curricular Meet

SASA feels delighted in sharing its success in concluding its six day Sports & Co-curricular Meet dated Dec. 16 to Dec. 22, 2009. The students participated in Sports as well as in Co-curricular Activities will full enthusiasm and confidence. The faculty & the management are proud to discover the hidden talents of certain students through these competitions.

The Sports Meet dated Dec. 16 to Dec. 18, 2009 included Fun Races for juniors, Athletics, Games (Basketball, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, Badminton) and Skating for seniors. The BEAS House lead the Sports meet being Best in the Sports, leaving Jehlam at second spot and Ravi at third. The Best Athlete Boys Senior title has been achieved by Jasjeet Singh (12^th Grade) and the Best Athlete Girls Senior title goes to Harshan Kaur (10^th Grade). Similarly, the Best Athlete Boys Junior title has been received by Manpreet Singh (8^th Grade) and the Best Athlete Girl Junior title goes to Mandeep Kaur (8^th Grade).

The Co-curricular Meet dated Dec. 19 to Dec. 22, 2009 included Fancy Dress & Solo Dance competition for juniors. For seniors we had a huge variety of competitions such as Solo Singing, Solo Dancing, Quiz, Declamation, Debate, Group Discussion, Embroidery for both boys & girls, Salad Making & Dressing, Cooking for both boys & girls, Heena on Hands again for both boys & girls. It was hilarious to watch boys doing embroidery and putting heena on hands. The cooking was also fun as the girls cooked mouth watering Vegetable Rice and boys delighted us with their Vegetable Chawmin. The JEHLAM house lead the Co-Curricular meet being Best in Co-Curricular Activities, leaving Ravi at second place and Satluj at third.

In the overall result for both Sports and Co-curricular activities JEHLAM house attained first place being the Best of the Bests for the session 2009-2010. We congratulate the winners for their brilliance and participants for their sincere efforts. Best of Luck to all for the next Sports & Co-curricular Meet.
