SASA STUDENTS INVITED TO GARFORTH ARTS FESTIVAL – 2010, IN ENGLAND
Ropar - June 17, 2010 - Seven student & Two Teachers of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Academy, Ropar (a twelve grade residential school) have been invited to represent India in Garforth Arts Festival – 2010 being organized at Leeds in England. The respective students are Mr. Arshdeep Singh, Miss Amandeep Kaur, Mr. Bikramjeet Singh Ghuman, Mr. Jobanpreet Singh, Mr. Yadwinder Singh, Miss Manpreet Kaur & Mr. Gurkirat Singh. The teachers are Mr. Sukhjinder Singh and Mrs. Harminder Kaur. These students and teachers are flying to U.K. in the third week of June 2010 to stay there for ten days. For the five days they have been got to participate in Garforth Arts Festival along with visiting various schools to compare the school education of U.K. with the Indian one. They have also been arranged to visit Victoria Quarter, Library and War-Memorial Millennium Square, BBC & Leeds College of Music, University of Leeds and Headingly Stadium. For next five days they have been arranged to stay in London to see one of the major old cities of the world. In London they would visit Buckingham Palace, London Museum, British Museum, Science Museum, British Parliament, and Madame Tussauds etc. All arrangements have been made jointly by Garforth Community College at Leeds in U.K.
The Director of Academy Mr. Sukhjinder Singh in the company of Madam Vice-Principal Mrs. Sudesh Sujati and Principal Mr. Rajan Chopra congratulated the students for getting such a big opportunity to visit England.
